Are you saying that the rxtx package has the same classes and methods as does the javax. In fact, according to the relevant download page, Oracle no longer supports the javax.

But what happens is that when I tried to give jre path as C: Have you got a look on RXTX? I downloaded and installed jdk and jre that is meant to be both for 32 bit win64com.dkl 64 bit machine.
If that doesn’t work, consider investing the effort in making it work. Unfortunately i think its solved only for windows, its still there on Linux binaries, and i haven’t tried it on mac.
